She died on 8 Jan 1923. She was buried in Jan 1923 in High Bridge Presbyterian Cemetery, Nature Bridge, Va.. Sarah was known as Fannie Fry. In addition to her own children she reared Jannie Rebecca Hayslett, born 7 or 10/28/1888 and orphaned in infancy. It is unknown if any family relationship existed between Fannie and Jannie. Fannie had a brother Joseph born 1848 in VA, lived in Fincastle District, Botetourt, VA. He married Margaret E. Linkswiler (born September 1857 in VA). They had one daughter Addie M., born March 1876 in VA. She married George Bryan. Margaret E. Linkswiler was a sister to Mary Jane Linkswiler who married S. McDonald Hayslett. Fannie Fry had two sisters, a Mrs. Frank Lotts(lived Natural Bridge) and a Mrs. Miller. Fannie and William D. Fry had two sons, William H. Fry (the H probably for Hartsook) and Charles M. Fry. Charles married Alice Shafer and they had one daughter, Mildred S. Fry. Charles was head carpenter for 12 years at Natural Bridge. All of the Fry's are buried at High Bridge Preb. Church. In 1905, Fannie took Jannie to Lawton Oklahoma, where Fannies son William was living. Jannie met and married James M. Heath in 1909. Jannie had two children. In 1918 Jannie died of TB. That same year Fannies son William died and Fannie took his body back to Natural Bridge, VA for burial and took the two Heath children with her. She kept them until her death in 1923. This is from the oral history of Zella Mae Heath Campbell, and the dates are her researched genealogy. She is one of the two Heath children Fannie took with her when William died. Information provided by Zella's grandaughter "Barbara Campbell". Sarah married2 William D. Fry 1 son of M. A. Fry and Sarah on 19 Jan 1860 in Rockbridge, Va.. William was born on 30 Nov 1835 in Rockbridge, Va. He died on 28 Apr 1908. He was buried in Apr 1908 in High Bridge Presbyterian Cemetery, Nature Bridge, Va.. 1880 Census taken at Natural Bridge, Rockbridge, Virginia William D.
