Hi I am researching my g-grandparents Edgar Healey Rowe & Mary WINSLOW Shaw. Edgar founded the Bowling Green Female Seminary in Bowling Green & moved it to Buena Vista in 1901. It is now Southern Virginia College I have all the basic info, I know that Mary died in 1904-05, wondering if there was an obit in Rockbridge County somewhere? I am trying to find where she was buried. There is a stone in Bowling Green with only MWR, I think this is a memorial stone, it has nothing else on it. The school gave me a copy of memorial statements made by various individuals. I believe Mary may have also been a teacher at the school. Would love to have more background info on these two during their years in Buena Vista, and any Seminary tidbits. Also, if possible would like more info on takeover by Robey & Durham.
