Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4BC.2ACI/2116.1 Message Board Post: I too have Diana Saville's middle initial as T. That is the way it shows up in the marriage records, however, I have no clue as to what the T might stand for. Of Jacob and Nancy's 13 children, I have several with nothing but middle initials. I could not be sure of how Diana and William got to Washington, but they must have followed a fairly direct route in that they were married in 1856 in Rockbridge county, appear in the 1860 census for Washington Territory and their first child, who was a year old in 1860, was born in Washington. If I had to hazard a guess, I might suspect that they first went to Ohio, then to Indiana or Illinois and then on to one of the wagon train starting points in either Iowa or Missouri and from there to Washington. I say that because there were Savilles in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois by that time and they might have stayed with them for a time. Most of my Saville connection followed that route but stopped in Iowa. However, my Savilles did not get to Iowa until after the Civil War.
