The name Remained Wilmore untill 1870 Amherst Cencus in 1880 Amherst Cencus the spelling Came out as Wilmer. After 1880 : Ernest Wilmer M. Glennie Padgett. CHILDREN: ??? ABT 1797 William Wilmore <James Wilmore,s Nephew> Married to Nancy Harrison Moved into Amherst, Co. To that union there were Three Sons: John H. Wilmore Moved to Rockbridge Co M. Sarah BATES, Raised a Large Family, Son #-2 James Harison Wilmore M. Permelia Sled & Moved to Adair County KY. Son # -3 Willis Clayton Wilmore Moved to Galia County Ohio M.Sarah Love From N. C. & Moved to IND. The Wilmores That Left Amherst County Continued Spelling their Name Wilmore untill this DAY.
