The Religious Telescope was the official newspaper of the United Brethren in Christ. It was published first from Circleville Ohio then Dayton Ohio. The newspaper published not only news of The Brethren, but also general news from many states including PA, Indiana, NJ, NY, etc. In a combined effort by Sue, Maggie, and myself Names appearing in the Religious Telescope from 1836, 1837, 1841, 1862 are now online. The years 1835, 1838, 1839, 1840 will soon be added. The online information for some years contains the extracted information, for other years it contains a listing of names , place, and year. and a yes or no whether there is more information. If yes, you can contact the submitter via email for the details. The names were typed as they appeared in the Religious Telescope. The spelling for the same names changed from paper to paper so be sure to try alternate spellings.
