Dear Donald, Thank you for your fast response to my posting. There is a legend in my family that my great-great-grandparents John and Sarah Jones Thomas and many of their children died during the Civil War. As the storu goes, my great-grandmother Sarah and one of her sisters were the only survivors. I have no idea if there is any truth to this story and, if there is, what the family died of.
