I have just discovered, from pension applications, that my GGGAunt Ann Beckham and her husband Harrison Legg were married in Prince William Co. at her father's home. There is a listing, in both Wertz and Jewell for Loudoun Co., of their marriage 9 Dec 1813 by John McPherson. The record was filed 3 Feb 1814 in Loudoun Co. My question: does any one else have a marriage by Rev. McPherson in Prince William Co.? Could he have traveled from a Loudoun base? I think he was Methodist.. I will really appreciate any clues!
