Nettie's 3 maps outlined the patents and grants in western Loudoun Co. You can determine if your ancestors obtained a grant by searching Gray or Joyner's books about Northern Neck Grants. They are also available on-line via the LVA web site.. I'm not certain, but would "guess" that the Awbrey land was in eastern Loudoun, along the Potomac River. In a future issue, NVG will publish an insert map of early landowners along the Potomac.
