    3. Dear Listers Thanks to Carolyn Lynn's posting of wills to the GenExchange site, I was reminded about my Stonnell quest. Stonnell is one of my major family lines. Richard Stonnell seems to be the original progenitor. With help from Don Wilson at the RELIC Room, we believe Richard Stonnell was transported from England, freed on arrival in VA and fought in the Rev. War. He married a widow, Sarah Cornwell who had two boys: George b. 1777 and John b. 1775 and was living in Prince William County at the time of his death in 1805. Sarah and Richard had at least four boys and one girl. The witnesses to Richard's will were: Jessey Warder, Alan Bland and William Bawsel. Information on any of these would be good, however I am most interested in Jesse Warder. Richard's son William (b. 1803) married Elizabeth Warder (b. 1807). I obviously would like to make a firm connection between Elizabeth and Jesse, if possible. I have a Richard H Warder married to Mary Ann Ratcliff, living in Alexandria in 1850 and Richard also has a connection to Elizabeth somehow. I also have Margaret Emily Warder married to Samuel Arell Marstellar in 1833. They lived in Alexandria and PWCo. Maybe they are all from the same family. Elizabeth and William's daughter Anna Maria married Joseph Warder Reynolds. Now, there has to be a story in there somewhere!!!!! Why would Anna Maria's husband have her mother's family name as his middle name?? Anna Maria was born in Stafford Co and Joseph Warder Reynolds was born in Shepherdstown, (now)WVA. I have asked you for help before and eventually someone has been able to help. Don Wilson tells me there is very little on Jesse Warder. If anyone has anything to help me piece this together ... please help. Cheers Lynne Simpson Canberra Australia
