    1. [VAPWILLI-L] Archibald Allen
    2. I have been interested in this Allen family. I have a book published in 1615 at the University of Cambridge. It is a religious book on how to live you life according to the word of God. The book has some handwriting beginning in 1690's for the birth of Abraham Farrow's children. Then a William Williams lends the book to Archibald Allen in Stafford Co in the year of 1743. I know that there was a John Allen born to Archibald & Abigail Allen in Stafford during 1743. Archibald must have kept the book as John Allen wrote in his own hand. The last person to own the book and record in it was a Samuel Holiday who wrote he owned this book in 1804. Samuel must have been educated as he wrote in Latin. I was given the book by my uncle in Buncombe Co, NC. He said his Uncle Jesse Wright gave the book to him, saying "This book belongs to our family and came across the ocean with our ancestors." I know that Archibald & Abigail were in Prince William Co and Fauquier Co. I do not know where they went or their son John. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sandy in Southern Los Angeles County

    3. Greetings! I have just joined the list and wish to post my research interests. I am descended from the Patrick SILVEY family that immigrated from Roscommon County, Ireland prior to 1774. My current research centers on Patrick's son, the Reverend Thomas SILVEY, b. 17 Aug 1774 in Prince William County. I am hopeful of learning the city or township of his birth and residence, the surname of his wife Anna whom he married about 1795, and the denomination in which he served. Always happy to share info!! Frank Thompson my url: www.familytreemaker.com/users/t/h/o/Franklin-B-Thompson/

He died the owner of 110 acres of farm land just across the White Water River from Null Town, Fayette Co., Ind. 3. I'm able to click on the URL's in the e-mail, and they worked fine. Try cutting and pasting as an alternative, or if desperate, try typing in the URL. Good luck. Hope it works. Let me know how it works. What kind of message are you getting? Are you getting "File not found" or the 404 error? Or are you getting the "server might be down" error. If it's the server error, just wait and try some other time. I haven't had much problem with the server being down, and I've accessed the Prince William site frequently because I live in the county. Deborah
