Surviving are her son, Jack Brookman and wife, Barbara of Salem; grandson, Scott Brookman and wife, Claudia of Richmond; and a great-granddaughter, Madeline Melissa Brookman. Paul, 80, of Blacksburg, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2000, at the Kroontje Health Care Center. She was born in Lynchburg on July 24, 1920. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Milton Paul of Barhamsville, Va., and granddaughter, Nicole Paul of Washington, D. C. She was the former Postmaster of Barhamsville, National Vice President of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States (NAPUS), and active in the service organization of Beta Sigma Phi and the Episcopal Church Daughters of the King. Survivors include her husband, Delamater Davis, Jr. of Blacksburg; two sons, Robert Paul of Brooksville, Md., and David Paul and wife, Linda Paul of Barhamsville; two stepchildren, Dianne Davis of Orlando, Fla., and A. Jack Davis and wife, Linda Davis of Blacksburg; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Born in Princeton, W. Va. January 22, 1912, she was the fourth daughter of the late Edward and Callie Ann Faulkner Hager. Her husband of 66 years, Lilburn H. "Pete" Myers, a retired employee of American Electric Power, Co.; four sisters and five brothers preceded her in death. She was a lifetime member of the Carr Memorial United Methodist Church in Princeton, W. Va. She was also a member of the West Virginia and Virginia Chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years. She served in all chairs and held the honor of past worthy matron. She was also a longtime professional sales person in her hometown of Welch, W. Va. She is survived by her only child, Lilburn Lee Myers and his wife, Linda; four sisters, Rae Hager Scott of Alexandria, Rebecca Hager Harmon of Bluefield, W. Va., Ruby Hager Runions of New Kent, and Eleanor Hager Beach of Roanoke. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Princeton, W. Va. with Rev. Hilda was a member of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her husbands E.O. Hatcher, Ed Lankford, and Thomas Parsell, a daughter, Elizabeth Marie Hatcher, and two sisters. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald G. and Nancy D. Hatcher of Ft. Smith, Ark.; two grandchildren, Andra Alain Williamson of Ft. Roseboom and her husband, Archie of Kansas City, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Linkous was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
