She was the widow of William Burton Dunn. Mrs. Dunn was predeceased by her parents, Neely and Wade Gordon, son, Howard William Dunn, and son-in-law, Dennie R. Rice. Mrs. Dunn was the oldest living member of Midway Baptist Church in Ironto. Her first love was God and then her children, Florence (Tom) Teichler of Elliston, Myrtle Ann Rice of Christiansburg, C. J. (Norma) Dunn of Elliston, George (Betty) Dunn of Lafayette; daughter-in-law, Ramona Dunn of Elliston; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Reginald M. Jones, II of Christiansburg. The family will receive friends Friday, December 8, 2000 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Seneca Baptist Church, Elliston. Funeral services will be held at Midway Baptist Church on Saturday, December 9, 2000 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bill Smith and Pastor Virgil McHone officiating. He was born March 30, 1924 in Montgomery County, Va., the son of the late James G. Edwards and Lucy Coles Edwards. He was preceded in death by one brother, George and two sisters, Lucy and Theola. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Shawsville, Va. Buddy was a lifelong resident of the Shawsville community and was loved and respected by many. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of forty-seven years, Geraldine Edwards of the home; three loving daughters, Stephanie Edwards of Blairs, Va., Janice Edwards (Lyndon) Franklin and Beverly Edwards, both of Shawsville, Va.; a family friend, Alfread Harper of Blairs, Va.; two grandchildren, Vonda and JaNell Franklin, both of Shawsville, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Daryl and Deasha Manns and Marie Wilson, all of Shawsville; one aunt, Maggie Coles of Roanoke, Va.; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Sunday, December 10, 2000 at 2 p.m. at the Shawsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Erdy Trigg officiating. Burial will be at the Shawsville Family Cemetery. Sr., 74, of Christiansburg, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2000. He was the son of the late Joseph Wesley and Elizabeth Dean Martin. He was a member of the Poplar Camp Church of God of Prophecy and he had served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Buford, Dewey and Lee Martin, and a son, Danny Martin. He was retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. He is survived by his wife, Irene Padgett Martin of the home; three daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca Vires of Radford, Va., Deborah Seagle of Draper, Va., Lynn Martin and Scott Forsyth of Richmond, Va.; a son, Dennis Martin of Draper, Va.; two grandsons, Jeremiah Seagle and Thomas M. Seagle, III, both of Pulaski, Va.; five sisters, Lola Shelton of West Virginia, Faye Armbrister of Max Meadows, Va., Della Armbrister of Wytheville, Va., Easter Mabe of Max Meadows, Va., Susie Martin of Wytheville, Va.; a brother, Paul Martin of Staunton, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was born March 29, 1902 in Columbia, South Carolina, a son of the late James Blair Spillman and Sarah Girardeau Trenholm Spillman. He retired September 1, 1970 after serving for forty years as treasurer and business manager of Mary Baldwin College, Staunton, Va. He was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Radford, and a former member and church treasurer of The First Presbyterian Church of Staunton. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. J. Blair and Betty E. Spillman, along with four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 12 noon Saturday, December 9, 2000 at Thornrose Cemetery, Staunton, with Dr. A. Taylor Todd officiating. Born in Dublin to Pulaskians, Dr. W. Frederick Delp (deceased) and the former Dorothy Wallner (now Dorothy Skuse of Raleigh), Debbie was the youngest of three children. Debbie is survived by her mother, her brother, Jeff of Michigan; her sister, Ashley Nackley of California; six nieces and nephews; one great-nephew. Debbie was the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Wallner of Pulaski and of Dr. and Mrs. W. G. Delp of Rural Retreat. She has many cousins in Pulaski, as well as, in other parts of Virginia and in North Carolina and Florida. Funeral services will be held in Raleigh on Saturday, December 9, 2000 through Mitchell Funeral Home, and interment and committal will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski at 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2000. - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- REYNOLDS, Sebe James, 76, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, December 6, 2000 in the Veterans Hospital in Salem, Va. He was born in Galax, Va. and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sebe Arnold Reynolds. He was retired from General Electric in Roanoke, a member of the Oakland Baptist Church in Roanoke. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II and was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Louise Tabor Reynolds, brother, Jerome Reynolds and sisters, Clisbie Reynolds and Omega Jones. Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Anne Martin and husband, Michael of Stafford, Va.; grandsons, Jeremy Martin of Ft. Stewart, Ga., Drew Martin of Stafford, Va., Jacob Martin of Stafford, Va.; brothers, R. J. During World War II, he served in the U. S. Army Air Corps in both the African and European Theaters. He was employed by Shepherd Auto Supply and later retired from Roanoke Concrete Products. Mr. Stone held membership in the American Legion, Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lee Stone, Sr. and Mary Bennett Stone, and a brother, James Lewis Stone. Surviving are his wife, Ola Deacon Stone of Roanoke; a daughter, Lana S. McCulloch and her husband, Jim McCulloch of Vinton; a granddaughter, Michaela T. Myers and her husband, Travis W. Myers; a great-granddaughter, Logan R. Myers, all of Roanoke; two sisters, Betty S. Minyard and her husband, Thomas Minyard of Salem, Dorothy S. Linkous and her husband, Browder Mosby Linkous of Roanoke; sisters-in-law, Deta Hylton of Wirtz and Helen Benois of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews.
