She was born in Charlotte Courthouse, Va. on March 9, 1922, to the late Walter and Lula Carter Atkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Major Eugene Harris (Retired U.S. Army). She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Mike Skinner; three grandchildren, Zoe Gaylin Skinner, Colin Miles Eugene Skinner, and Devin Michael Ellery Skineer, all of Blacksburg; a sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Bill Bowers, Richmond; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Phyllis Atkins, Charlotte Courthouse, Va.; a special caregiver, Becky Sheppard, Blacksburg; and numerous other relatives and close friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at 2 p.m. in Monticello Memory Gardens, Charlottesville, with the Rev. Christine Brownlie officiating. He was born in Pulaski on January 25, 1921 and was the son of the late Walter B. Huff and Lillian Whitt Huff. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Frances Eugene (Gene) Huff. He was a retired employee of Virginia Maid Hosiery Mill with 47 years of service. Surviving are wife of 46 years, Dollie Mae Huff, Pulaski; sons and daughters-in-law, Walter B. Huff, III, Huntsville, Ala., Anthony Kirk and Charlotte R. Huff, Pulaski, Gordon Todd and Alice Marie Huff, Pulaski; sister, Lucy Huff, Pulaski; sister-in-law, Naomi Stewart Huff, Palmyra; grandchildren, Ambria N. Huff, Brandon K. Huff, Elaine M. He was born July 7, 1914 at Hollybrook, the son of the late Loranza Naff and Leona Adeline Miller Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Lucille Ramsey; two brothers, Herman Edward Ramsey and Leon Kenneth Ramsey; a sister-in-law, Nancy Ramsey. He was a historical buff of Bland County happenings and was interested in political activities. He is survived by one brother, Paul Ramsey, of Little Creek Community, Dublin; two sisters-in-law, Maggie Ellen Ramsey and Edith A. Ramsey both of Dublin; several caring nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1p.m. at the A. Vest and Sons Funeral Home, White Gate with the Rev. J.P. Hale officiating. Burial in the Shiloh Cemetery, Hollybrook.
