John, there is a Hurst cemetery at the end of Blackberry Lane which starts at the end of Old Hurst Road. I don't remember any Carnahan tombstones there, but it was very overgrown when I was there a few summers ago. How is the Old Home Place you mentioned related to the John Carnahan house pictured on the Digital Library of Virginia site? That's under the Archives/Manuscripts section with the Carnahan Family Bible. There are a couple of Calfee cemeteries in Wythe County, which have not been transcribed except in a loose-leaf book at the Wytheville Community College Kegley Library. I'm also looking for the grave of Juliette Sophia Calfee Carnahan, who died on March 1, 1909. She was John Newton Carnahan's widow. I haven't located it among any of the "Calfee" graveyards.
