Arrangements by Riffe's Funeral Service, Narrows. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- REED, Velma Wade 89, of Floyd, passed away Friday, May 25, 2001 at New River Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert H. Reed, two sons, an infant and Walter Reed, and a daughter, Ines Smith. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Glada and Sam Luckadoo, Christiansburg, Barbara and Dallas Farmer, Riner; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Peggy Reed, Chester, Major and Shirley Reed, Boones Mill, Harvie and Amy Reed, Floyd, Denton and April Reed, Floyd; sisters and brother-in-law, India and Elmer goad, Christiansburg, Esie Ratcliffe, Radford; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 28, 2001 at the White Rock Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Michael Pugh and the Rev. Kenny Wurzburger officiating. Burial will be in White Rock Cemetery.
