RADFORD, about 50, Bland county trucker, dropped dead shortly before noon today in the offices of a downtown concern. Mr. RADFORD of D. E. Howell , of Radford , had stopped in the concerns office while looking for the Lily Land Co. An ambulance was called and Mr. RADFORD rushed to the hospital where it was announced he was dead on arrival. It was reported that Mr. RADFORD had been negotiating for the purchase of property owned by Mr. Howell and the two parties were planning to close the transaction today. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.
