Lexington Ave., died today at his home following an extended illness. A retired conductor of the Norfolk & Western Railroad after 44 years of service. He was born in Rockbridge County, October 1, 1874 , the son of the late Samuel MATHENEY and Elizabeth JOHNSON. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Blanche VAUGHAN MATHENEY; three sons, S. G. MATHENEY, Los Angeles, Calif.; William V. MATHENEY, Bakers Field, Calif. And Herman D. MATHENEY, Washington D. C.; six daughters, Miss Daisey Lou MATHENEY, Miss Margaret MATHENEY and Miss Claudine MATHENEY all of Pulaski; Miss Elizabeth MATHENEY, Mrs. Vivian SLACK and Mrs. P. A. NEFF, all of Washington, D. C. and one grandchild, The body is at Thomas M. Seagle and Sons Funeral Home pending arrangements.
