Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- FLINCHUM, William Charles, (Bud), 68, of Blacksburg, died Monday, April 16, 2001 at Roanoke Community Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on February 4, 1933 to the late Charles McKinley and Hettie G. Burke Flinchum. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Alene Flinchum Hale, Nellie "Tea" Flinchum Bishop, and Helen Flinchum Orsborne. He was the founder of W. C. Flinchum and Sons Excavating, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Barbara S. Flinchum of Blacksburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Perry Morehead, Sr. of Blacksburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, William M. and Dianne Flinchum of Blacksburg, Robert C. "Bobby" and Vicki Flinchum of Floyd; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel Hylton of Radford, Nora Sue Delancey of Jacksonville, Fla., Mildred and Marvin Martin of Durham, N.C., Lacy Orsborne of Meadow Bridge, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Perry Morehead, Jr., Crystal Morehead, Eric, Aaron and Joey Flinchum; one great-grandson, Patrick Deven Polly; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
