She was born November 2, 1927 at Freemont, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Leon Conway and Nellie Cree Stephens Scott. She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Scott; a brother, Bobby Scott; and a sister, Sadie Kirkpatrick. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Dickerson, Hiwassee, Lois Adams and husband, Pete, Pulaski; three sons, Jerry Scott, Riner, Guy Scott and wife, Glenda, Radford, Mike Scott, Pulaski; a sister, Virginia Jewell and husband, Gene, Radford; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Highland Memory Mausoleum Chapel, Dublin with the Rev. Billy Akers officiating. Burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be at the A. Surviving are one son, Stanley C. Sutphin, Jr., Rock Hill, S.C.; two daughters, Gail S. Dubovsky, Goode, and Judy S. Meredith, Elon College, N.C.; a brother, Glen Sutphin, Radford; along with two sons-in-law and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross - Radford Chapter or to the American Heart Association. There will be no visitation and a private family memorial service will be held later.
