    3. New River Obituaries ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- BELL, Louise Eve Moles, 88, of Radford, passed away Friday, July 6, 2001. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Mullins Funeral Home, Radford. Arrangements by Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory, Radford. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- MARTIN, Pete Riley, 60, of Liberty Lane in Blacksburg, died Thursday, July 5, 2001 at Montgomery Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Pembroke on March 30, 1941 he was the son of the late Ray G. Martin and Eva Nelson Boles. He was retired from food service at VPI&SU. A brother, Frank Martin, preceded him in death. Surviving are two brothers, Doug Martin of Pearisburg, Clinton Martin of Blacksburg; six sisters, Eula Faye Peters of Rising Sun, Md. Frances Langley of North East, Md., Ola Perdue of Dublin, Mable Sinkus of Fordman, Ohio, Carol Atkins of Meandan, N.C., Kay Blevins of Eden, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- REYNOLDS, Uncle Manuel, 89, of Radford, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2001, at New River Valley Medical Center. A graduate of Emory & Henry College, he was an educator for over thirty years, serving as principal of Auburn High School for many years. He is survived by two sisters, Stella R. Lawrence, Christiansburg, Josie M. Landrum, Radford; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the Horne Funeral Chapel, Christiansburg. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Auburn High School Athletic Fund, c / o Auburn High School, Riner, VA 24149. Arrangements by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. Transcribers Note: Manuel Reynolds was My school Principal. This makes me realy sad. He probably touched more lives in the Riner section of Montgomery County, than anyone i can think of. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- SAUNDERS, Revonda Ann Meredith, 38, of Christiansburg, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, at her home. The family will receive from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Horne Funeral Home where the funeral service will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. on Monday. The family request in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Box 176, Christiansburg, VA 24068. Arrangements are being handled by Horne Funeral Service.
