Cincinnati Gazette 19 Jan 1842: Died. At the residence of his son, in Milcreek township, THOMAS HUBBELL, Sen., in the 95h year of his age. The deceased was born in New Jersey, removed to Virginia when about 13 years of age and lived there during the Revolutionary struggle, and in 1790 removed to Columbia, four miles above Cincinnati, (then Fort Washington) He entered the forest with the brave heart and strong arm, and the wilderness gave way to fruitful fields and pleasant gardens. He died in full confidence in the goodness and justice of his Creator. He exclaimed in a most impressive manner that “the Judge of all the earth will do right!”
