Tibbs of Radford; stepdaughter, Amanda Tibbs of Radford; mother, Sue S. Bullion of Parrott; father, Cecil W. Bullion of Parrott; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Angie Bullion of Parrott; three nephews, C. J. Bullion, Johnny Bullion and Matt Bullion, all of Parrott. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Parrott Church of God with Rev. Eddie Dalton and Bishop James Bullion officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- CALLAHAN, Louise White, 83, of Radford, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2001 at the New River Valley Medical Center. She was a member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church and retired from Inland Motors with 19 years of service. She also volunteered for many years at Radford Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse L. and Mae White, and a brother, Jesse L. White, Jr. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marie Williams Wildgrube and Jim Wildgrube of Dublin; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Lee and Dixie Callahan of Radford; two grandchildren, Richard Boyd Williams and fiancZe, Kim Hitzler of Radford, and Stephanie Foutz and her husband, Barry of Pulaski; two step-grandchildren and their spouses, Neil Dishon and Robin Adkins of Belspring, and Jeff and Julie Dishon of Barren Springs; four step-great-grandchildren, Ami Alderman and Kristin Dishon and Travis and Jessica Foutz; a nephew, Jesse L. "Butch" White, III; a sister-in-law, Elsie White; and beloved neighbors and friends, Mike, Melissa, Tyler and McKenzie Hunt. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Fairlawn United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Arrangements by Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- HATCHER, Ivan Columbus, 82, of Floyd, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He had been a resident of English Manor in Christiansburg for the past several years. He was a World War II veteran of the European Campaign, having served under General George S. Patton in the 4th Armoured Division as a tank commander. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, Good Conduct, and other ribbons. He was a life long resident of Floyd County and a firm believer in soil conservation, being one of the first farmers in Floyd County to use strip cropping and crop rotation. He served as an assistant agriculture teacher at Check High School before becoming president of Hatcher & Hall Dairies, Inc. He helped found Select Sires, and was on the Board of Directors of Maryland and Virginia Dairy Association. He was also a member of Floyd V.F.W. Post #7854. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Pauline Sisson Hatcher. Surviving are his children and their spouses, Larry and Barbara Hatcher of Floyd, Neal and Debbie Hatcher of Greensboro, N.C., Reba and Wayne Goff of Floyd, Norma and Ralph Roberts of Frederick, Md.; grandchildren, Sterling Hatcher, Kristin Goff, Nicholas and Suzanne Hatcher, and Julia Roberts; step granddaughter, Heather Pratt; step great-granddaughter, Cassidy Jordan Pratt. Graveside services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Jacksonville Cemetery with the Rev. Lane Spiegner officiating with Military Rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Floyd Post #7854. He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on March 23, 1909 to the late Phillip and Minnie Cromer Jones. Allen attended the Church of God on Ellett Road, Blacksburg. He is survived by a special daughter, Charlotte J. Surface of Blacksburg; a daughter, Darlene Simmons of Christiansburg; a son, Marvin Jones of Waynesboro, Va.; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
