He is survived by a daughter, Angela Stevens; sons, Jerry Wayne Buckner and Jason Grice; a sister, Connie Moore; brothers, Eddie Grice and Larry Grice; a grandson, Cameron Abbott. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at the Horne Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Virgis Bailey with burial to follow in Sherwood Burial Park, Salem. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- HARMON, Daniel Webster II, 79, of Radford, passed away Monday, March 12, 2001 at the New River Valley Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II, a member of the American Legion, VFW Post #776, and a member of the Radford Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He was a retired employee of Hercules with more than thirty years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel W. and Nettie Lois Winston Harmon. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Jane Midkiff Harmon of Radford; three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel W. III and Susan Harmon of Montgomery, Ala., John Gary and Kathy Harmon and Robert Michael Harmon, both of Radford; four grandchildren, Daniel W. Harmon IV of Jacksonville, Fla., Joseph Michael Harmon of Blountville, Tenn., Kelly Lara Carter of Radford, Va. and John Robert Harmon of Montgomery, Ala. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Radford Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. Mr. Wilburn was a son of the late Graham Lewis Wilburn and Velma Lewis Wilburn. Glenn was a member of the Pearisburg First United Methodist Church, a veteran of WW II and was retired from the Power Plant at VPI. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Velma Wilburn Strickland and husband, James of Edenton, N.C.; nieces, Charlotte Cole of Carlile, Pa., Susan Small of Edenton, N.C., Teresa Andrews of Charlottesville; great-nieces and nephews, Katie Glenn Small of Edenton, N.C., Brooke Small of Edenton, N.C., Lauren Small of Edenton, N.C., Emily Cole of Carlile, Pa., James Cole of Carlile, Pa., Caleb Andrew Small of Charlottesville, Zachary Graham Small of Charlottesville.
