BURTON LAID TO REST The funeral service for Mrs. Fannie Nora BURTON who died Wednesday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Homer AYERS, in the Mt. Olivet section were held this afternoon at 3 o’clock at the First Methodist Church of that section. The services were in charge of Rev. Geo. PHELPS, pastor of the Christian Church, of which the deceased was a member for many yrs. Mrs. BURTON who had a wide circle of friends both in Pulaski and surrounding section, was born in Pulaski County, February 21, 1862. She was twice married, her first husband being W.M. JOHNSON, and the second Lee BURTON, both of whom have preceded her to the grave. She is survived by the following children: S.J. & W.M. JOHNSON, Mrs. O.V. TILLEY, Mrs. Homer AYERS, C.B. & E.R. BURTON of this city, F.F. & Lige BURTON of Charksburg, WVA, and the following brothers and sisters: J.L. MOREHEAD, Mrs. James WHITE, Mrs. John TABOR, of Pulaski and Leonard ANDREWS of WVA. The six sons acted as pallbearers and her grandchildren were flower bearers. Interment was in the Mt Olivet cemetery.
