New River Obituaries ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- EPPERLY, Raymond E., 65, of Christiansburg, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, March 24, 2001. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, at the North Fork Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Fred Brugger and Rev. Olan Gardner, with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Box 176, Christiansburg, Va. 24068. Arrangements are being handled by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- JENNINGS, Lillian Meredith, 78, of 4663 State Park Road in Dublin, lost her battle to cancer on Monday March 26, 2001 at Pulaski Community Hospital. Born September 24, 1922 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late William and Minnie Roseberry Meredith. Mrs. Jennings was a member of the Mountain View United Methodist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Clinton Jennings; two sons, Dennis Jennings of Bedford, Lloyd Jennings of Dublin; a daughter; Kay Waddell of Dublin. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; one niece, along with many loving friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Mountain View United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donna M. Hester officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visiting will be anytime Tuesday after 2 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Friends may also visit the family at their Dublin residence. Arrangements by Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- LIDDLE, Mona Echols, 89, of Pearisburg, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2001 in Richmond. Mrs. Liddle was born on April 30, 1911 in Newport, and was a daughter of the late Lloyd E. Echols and Eliza Cooper Echols. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge Liddle; three sisters, Helen E. Philpott, Cleta E. Camper and Clara E. Frame. Mrs. Liddle is survived by one son and his wife, James E. and Peggy Liddle, Richmond; three grandchildren, Deborah Liddle, Vicki DeLand, and Gerald Liddle, all of Richmond; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Todd Millsaps officiating with burial following in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Bluefield, W.Va. Sisson, Scott S. Sisson and wife Sara, Melissa Sisson Shepherd and husband, Eric, and Greg Sisson; great-grandchildren , Dustin Fisher, Kara Fisher, Melanie Shepherd and Rebekah Sisson.
