OWEN, Doris Mallory, 77, of 924 Carriage Hill Drive, Pulaski died Sunday, March 11, 2001 in Pulaski Community Hospital. Born March 22, 1923 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Ida Jane Breedlove Mallory and William Warden Mallory. Also preceding her in death was a grandson, Kelly Royal Owen. Mrs. Owen was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a member of the Pulaski Chapter #113 Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, John Douglas Owen, Sr.; two daughters, Mrs. Larry "Patricia" Jones of Nashville, Tenn. and Mrs. Ronald "Gail" King of Chesterfield; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John D. Owen, Jr. of Nashville and Brian R. and Linn Owen of Southern Pines, N.C.; one sister, Phyllis Mallory of Salem; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with the Rev. Martha Yeomans and Rev. Douglas Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be anytime Monday after 2 p.m. at Thomas M. SANDERS, Annie Elizabeth, 73, of the Trigg Community near Pearisburg, died Saturday, March 10, 2001 in Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem after a short illness. Born in Giles County on November 24, 1927 she was a daughter of the late George and Ruby Hilton Neice. She was a member of Wesleys Chapel United Methodist Church at Trigg. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Kast and Carmen Elmore and three brothers, Albert, Buddy and Billy Neice. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Woodie Lee Sanders; three sons, Willard, Bobby, Sherwood and wife, Joyce (Sissy), all of Trigg; three sisters, Bonnie Epperley of Christiansburg, Leuna Martin of Pembroke, Lida Williams of Pearisburg and their families; nine grandchildren, Willy, Tammy, Bobby, Jr., Abbie, Michael, Stephanie, Timmy, Justin, and Crissy; four great-grandchildren, Jessica, Sarina, Breanna, and Harley. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow Street in Pembroke with her Pastor, the Rev. David Olinger and the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating. Born June 11, 1907 in Oakvale, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late John and Osica Vest Tracey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Spangler and a son, Odell Spangler. Surviving are a son, Charles R. Spangler of Seneca, S.C. and a daughter, Ethel L. Martin of Pfafftown, N.C.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, Va., with burial to follow in Peterstown Cemetery.
