He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. C. THORNTON, borned and reared here. For several years he has been in the commercial business, drumming for different houses in West Virginia and in Roanoke. He has been living in Roanoke for a few years. He has one brother, R. J. THORNTON, in Roanoke. He leaves several sisters, Mrs. Bettie TIPTON the only one of them living here. The family burial ground is here but he is to be buried in Roanoke. He leaves a wife and several children. Will was always a good boy. He died with consumption, a disease I suppose his friends never thought about his ever having. After he left home he came back regularly to visit his parents and his people. He was here on a visit during this past fall.
