If you are looking specifically for death or marriage certificates, you might want to call ahead first (clerk's office #540 980-7825) and ask if they have them because if I remember correctly they don't. They have birth/death/marriage records from 1839, but I don't know for sure if they have the actual certificates (or copies). Call first to be sure. mike
