    1. Moore
    2. For anyone who is researching Peter and Jane Moore, early 1800 residents of the area. Page 2411 of Abstracts of Rev. War Pension Files: Peter Moore, R20408, CT Line and Cont Line (NY) enlisted Albany NY applied for pension 27 Aug 1824 in WYTHE CO VA Has anyone researched this data? If not, this may lead us to break the Peter and Jane Moore "brick wall. " According to John Perry Alderman in his book Carroll 1765-1815 it was "tradition that Peter Moore was a Dutch immigrant......" It is well known that there was a very large group of Dutch who settled in NY. Does anyone have access to old NY records or who has a copy of this Peter's file? Judy

Yours is the only response I have gotten. I will try to find out more when I go to the courthouse. If I do, I will let you know. Do you have any info on her parents names or any other family name. Also if her Mother divoreced Frank Meredith or if he just left her or if they were never married. Also, who they lived with after their Father left them. He supposedly married a Janie Hedge and had several children by him. In about 1922 Frank Meredith deserted his families and let the area with a Ethel Brookman Pinkard. She was my Grandmother. She also deserted my Dad and he was raised by his Grandparents on his fathers side. Frank's 2nd wife, Janie, moved in with Franks parents with their children. If you know anything about this, even if it just rumors, let me know as Ethel was always secretive about this to her family. I only met her 1 time when I was a small child. This last year I have been in contact with ! her granddaughter. who is the daughter of Juanita, Ethel & Franks daughter. Thanks for any help or any suggestions to look for info. Linda Grantham

Franklin were married in Chesterfield Co., Virginia, May 19, 1821, and removed to Halifax Co., Virginia, then Pulaski Co., Virginia, and later to Lincoln Co., Kentucky.
