I think you are talking about the Mountain View Cemetery. It is past the old Schoolhouse which my King grandparents lived in until they both died. Their are many Roseberry's buried there. I transcribed some of it to the Internet but only the ones related to me. Sorry. The book Gates to Glory list a lot of the burials there. It is available in lots of libraries. Karen Zemerick

One of the sons of Leander Clay Quesenberry was Charles Thomas Quesenberry. Charles married Deliah A.Trail, daughter of a James Trail, on May 15, 1894 in Pulaski County. A nephew of Leander's by the name of Andrew J. Quesenberry married Rosannah Odell in Wythe County on December 13, 1893. Do any of these names sound familiar?

Posted on: Pulaski Co. Va Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Va/Pulaski/289 Surname: THORNTON ------------------------- Meridith Thornton is a direct decendant, being the father of my great-great-grandfather William Meredith Thornton. I have linages for the family going back as far as the late 1700's and with Meredith's parents, Thomas L. Thornton and Elizabeth (Susan?)Meredith. Will be happy to share this in either GEDCOM or Family Treemaker format or as a TXT file. I am stuck at Thomas L. Thornton and am seeking information as to his parents or those of Elizabeth Meredith. A cousin mistakenly assigned this Thornton to being the child of Anthony Thornton (III), but I discovered that was Thomas Griffin Thornton and not Thomas L.. He could possible be the son of one of the other brothers, but I have been unable to establish a positive link to either the William or Luke Thornton linages in Virginia. The 1850 census records appear to indicate that Elizabeth was not born in Virginia (as was Thomas), but possibly Maryland....the writing not being totally legible. Any help would be appreciated and I will reciprocate.

I talked with Bonnie Williams today(finally!) and we are going to try to get the lady from the Heritage books to come to the January 30 meeting of the Pulaski County Genealogical Club at 7:00 at the courthouse and give us some info. This would make a great project for the PCGC. We will need lots of stories and input from everyone. Ms. Grose is sending info to me and I'll try to keep the list up to date on what's happening. Mark your calendars now for Jan. 30 and I'll see you at the PCGC meeting. Maybe the power problem has hit them, the one in Calif. Don't know but just got back a return , not deliverable email to six aol members. It says "Service not available". It may not hit us all, but I did hear on the news that Yahoo was warned yesterday that they maybe effected. Governor has declared a state of emergency for California concerning the power shortage. Good luck to all.
If someone can meet Shirley Grose, let me know soon. If noone does, she will be advertising a meeting for the end of the month in Pulaski. Any suggestions about where and when. She was tentatively suggesting in the afternoon. I need to get info she did pass on to me together into a readable form, lol (my problem not hers) and I will post later today (we talked on phone). She is sending literature and info to the PCGC postal box. I will say this, book will be 9 x 12 size. Encouraging churches and organizations for submissions. No pictures large than 8 x10. That is all for now. Will provide other info later. Bonnie In NC, too far away to go
