    3. I visited the battlefield last summer and it has pretty much been destroyed by the widening of Route 100 between Pulaski and Princeton, WV. The remainder of the area that used to be under cultivation is very grown up. I'd wanted to walk the entrenchments where the 60th VA fought but gave up. There is a roadside marker, actually a median strip marker now. 2. I wonder if anyone on this list is researching the Calfee family other than me. Did you know that the College of William & Mary has a collection of documents (donated in 1938) know as the Calfee Papers ? It is a rather interesting collection of deeds, letters, receipts, canceled checks and misc. stuff from as early as 1817 to about 1920. There are a number of letters from the boys while they were off fighting the Yankees, and some letters from one of the boys who moved to Texas. Ronald Caffee

Va Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Va/Pulaski/310 Surname: Roseberry, Ayers, Marshall, Farmer, Bentley, Lee ------------------------- Hi Susan... I did a little web search and found this web page that describes the battle in detail. It also has pictures of the battlefield. It was in Pulaski county so maybe you could call the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce and ask them if there is tours of this battle.I also have an ancestor that fought in this battle but was captured and sent to Andersonville Prison Camp. Good Luck Kelly Link to site: http://geocities.com/Pentagon/Bunker/8757/cloyds.html
