Dear Researchers: I am trying to find if possible a email address for the archive department at the Anson County Court House in North Carolina. My copy of the Red book has the smail address as Green Street, Wadesboro, NC 28170, phone: 704-694-2314. I know the first court house burned in 1868, but I've been told some deeds and other records survived. I am looking for copies of original records related to a Frederick Temples with land records from 1740-1763. He had three sons; James b. 1754, John b. 1755, and Frederick b. 1758(daughters of three or more). We have no marriage date, wife, or parentage. We don't know his origin though there appears to be a relationship with a Laban Temple, David, Peter, and Thedorick, all part of the Virginia Regulars that fought the British in Charleston, SC. On May 29, 1780, Frederick & Laban are killed in the Battle of Buford's Defeat near Waxhaw, SC as stated by Epps Temple. As of this writing, I have not found a Frederick Temples listed any where prior to these land deeds. Judging from his sons ages, he would have been born around 1725-30, but where? A Thomas Temple, son of William, founder of Prince George County, VA Temple's, did have a unnamed son in 1726(from Bristol Parish records). I am even wondering about ships records related to that time and place. Anyone with any clues? Robert Temples
