I desc. from Mathew Clarke who m1.Abigail Baldwin; m2.Mrs. Martha (Baldwin) Chappell. Mathew was from Goochland Co.,VA & alsolived in Buckingham Co., VA before removing to Anderson Co., SC. His sons went on to Calhoun & Talladega Co.s, AL. Don't know of any NC connections on Baldwin or Clarke lines. The immigrant Clarke ancestor was in Charles City Co.,VA.
