Dear fellow researchers: Some recent clues site a possible connection of Frederick Temple c. 1735 coming from Crawford County, PA. Up till now we had connected him possible to the "Prince George County, VA" Temple's descendant from William Temple. We so, far have not been able to establish a family connection in part to the lost of many records, but also the fact that he and a Laban Temples are most noted as killed at "Buford's Defeat" near Waxhaw, SC in May 29, 1780. Frederick Temple(s) is in Anson County, NC by 1748 as part of jury duty through 1774 and various land transactions through 1779. His son, Frederick shows up in more land sales between 1789-1820. We suspect a close family connection between these two, but no proof has been offered up at this time. Most of the information on Frederick Temples listed on Parker temple's site is mine, after five years of researching him. To date, we have not establish his birth date, parentage, or where he came from prior to 1748 in Anson County. ANY clues or information regarding these two would be more than appreciated. Another possible connection would be to the Levi Temple line. Frederick's descendants spread through out the south most commonly spelled with a (s) added. With "Temple" as the origin name, we have multiple marriages between all of these families. Joyce Temple Barnett, author of several books on her Temple lines and I have joined forces and have worked on the "Southern Lines" while Parker Temple has focused on the NE lines, all the while recording our finding on his site. As we say in research, these are our "brick walls". We have been blessed over the years by hundreds of researches and newly found cousins sharing their work on the "Temples". We have developed a large data base on these and collateral lines which we have shared with many interested parties. Much of what is noted on these lines came from either Joyce or myself. I qualify this only because many have referenced us to our own postings. So, if you think you know of information related to Frederick or Laban Temple(s), we want to hear from you. Thank you for taking time to read this. Robert Temples
