I was given a porton of this will from a relative many years ago. So I was happy to find and read the whole Will. On Page 3, it is said that Ephriam, Alleck or Alexander and Isac were owned by my Samuel W. Venable This was my grandmother, Christine Gertrude Shepperson/Shepherdson's grandfather. Martha Venable my grandmother's mother was also owned by Samuel Venable & Nat Venable in Prince Edward, Co.Va But my grandmother's Grandfather Jacob Shepperson/Shepherdson really was President Thomas Jefferson son. I have no record of Jacob mother name . She was said to be 100% african. Jacob was born in 1815 and died in 1868. My question is how are you related and where did you find this copy. The copy my aunt gave me only has a small portion of the will, and it is hard to read.
