I am looking for any records about William Blanton, the son of Thomas Blanton, Jr and Ann (unknown). I guess he would have been born about 1720-1725. Have been told maybe in Spotsylvania or Caroline County, Va. There were 4 brothers and i was just wondering if anyone had researched the known siblings. I think some of them went to Prince Edward County. I think they were John, Joshua, William, Richard, and maybe they also had another son named Thomas. . I have just started looking for my ancesters. David Blanton- I think you are right in regards to the son's of Thomas Jr and Ann. With my research, I think my ancestors may go back to Thomas Jr, one of the sons of Thomas Blanton, SR and Jane Mcguffey. Did you know that Thomas Blanton, Sr was our first Blanton ancestor to come to Virginia, in 1682 from England? He had several Land Grants in Old Rappahanock County, Va. That original county has been divided several times now into other counties. He married Jane McGuffey here in Va. She had previously been married several times before.
