HELP! We'll be leaving for a swing through Virginia on Wednesday (for genealogy purposes) and I need to decide soon if I should include Farmville. Can anyone tell me of any old Baptist churches (1870) that are in or near Farmville AND have cemeteries? I've checked the posted listings at SCVGS and havent found my William C. Davis (died 7/1870). He was Baptist, and may be buried (hopefully with wife Anna, who died ca 1917) in an small cemetery. I can't do much walking, so am hoping that I might be able to call some of these old churches to see if either are there. Please provide me with names of old Baptist Churches--and any info you have.
