I can help you with the son of Joshua Blanton and Mary Alderman. I am a direct descendent of his. He was Joshua (James) Blanton and he married Elizabeth Rowell. He also named one of his children Joshua James Blanton also. They lived in Duplin Co., NC, Horry Co., SC, Lowndes Co., Ga., and Taylor Co., Florida. That does make it confusing at times, as we are now talking about 3 Joshua's, when you start with Joshua Blanton that married Mary Alderman and her sister Keziah Alderman. My Grandfather was Dalton S. Blanton (child #16) for Joshua James Blanton and Elizabeth "Eliza" G. Blanton in Madison County, Florida. Joshua and Eliza had 16 children. Some of his family is buried in the Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Shady Grove, Taylor County, Florida. Dalton S. Blanton moved to Plant City, Hillsborough County, Florida and had 11 children. My Aunt Betty L. Blanton (daughter of Dalton S.
