My Prince Edward County, Virginia, "wish" is to find the LIVING DESCENDANTS of a family member from the past. JOHN WATSON OWEN was born in Prince Edward County, Virginia, in December 1887 (but his P.E. birth record says his name was "Boyd" Owen). He was living with his widowed father, WILLIAM EGGLESTON OWEN, in the Meherrin, VA, area at the time of the 1900 census. He inherited property in the Meherrin area through his mother's ancestry. In 1909 when he was 21, he sold that property and at that time he was living in Clarksville, Montgomery County, TN. He had married Avie E. Crowder, who was born in Hopkinsville, KY. Later they lived in Herrin, Williamson County, IL, and in the Belleville, St. Clair Co., IL, area. He had two children, Macon Vernon "Bob" Owen and Evelyn Owen, born about 1910-1915. Macon died in Fairview Heights, St. Clair Co., IL, abt 1988. Evelyn married Mr. Rau and died in St. Louis.
