You have been doing all of us such a great service by providing the info that you have. I am sure that everyone appreciates it as much as I do. In yesterday's postings you posted several that have been a great help to me. In particular the Cardwells. This branch of Cardwell's are connected to my line and also to my Crocketts. Have you happen to run across any Crockett's married to Ritchies in your search in Prince Edward? My William Crockett married my Agnes Ritchie in Prince William county about 1760. I am interested in any and all info that you could find on the Crocketts, Cardwell's and Ritchies of Prince Edward from 1740-1800. Particularly interested in who William Crockett's first wife was. Agnes was his second wife. Speculation is that her surname could have been Reed, or Baker, but this is not certain. Also, has your researches turned up the birth of Anthony Crockett in Prince Edward, Va? William's first wife would be his mother. This would be the Col. Anthony Crockett who eventually moved to Franklin county, Ky and died there about 1836. Would appreciate any about anything you may come across. Again, thanks so much.
