Hello subscribers, I am sending this message to all lists that I administer, so I apologize ahead of time for those of you who will unavoidably receive duplicates. The two temporary changes put in place earlier this month (turning off auto-subscribe and blocking message board posts) have now been undone. Message board posts are however still blocked for the one list where they were blocked even before the temporary changes. Things are now back to normal, for three major reasons: 1) So far, none of the lists I admin have been targeted for the heavy spamming that I was trying to avoid. 2) There haven't been many reports lately of new attempts by this spammer. 3) I'll be out of town several days next week, and away from e-mail. There's always a chance that the changes will have been removed prematurely, and that the spammer will find a way to hit these lists. Given my trip next week, that's a chance I'll have to take.
