His father was Thomas Brooks born 1731 in Virginia his wife was Mary "unknown". Bartholomew was the father of Armistead Brooks who was the father of John Jasper Brooks born in 1835 . I believe that John Jasper was the father of James Armistead Brooks, who was the father of John William Brooks, my grandfather.
