My grandfather was Horace Harper Moorefield and he always told us that the Moorefield's were from Halifax. He was raised in the area known as Tuggle and this is where the church is located on 460. I recently went by the home in which they were raised. It is across the road from the church. I would love to know where James Royal who was in the Civil war is buried and also his father and mother John Royal and Winnie. I placed stones at the church in Prince Edward to mark the graves of John James and Nannie Elizabeth Harper his wife and 1 son Linwood. I reside in Appomattox and grew up in Cumberland.
