They were in Goochland to Bedford to Botetourt. Joseph Vaughan who married Ann Payne about 1790 in Goochland is believed to have been on tax or land records in Prince Edward in 1800. His name may have been written as Baughn rather than Vaughn. He is believed to have been in a business with two other men and maybe sold out in 1800. He appeared in Botetourt in 1801. If you can let me know anywho who may have access to records in 1800 I'd appreciate hearing from you. I have been trying for years to discover which of the many Vaughan's in the area were the parents of this Joseph Vaughan. He would have been born between 1735-1750. Thank you for any information. Mary
