Do not know if this was his birth name, as he was adopted. His "parents" were married 29 Aug 1902 in Tazewell, VA. I imagine he may have been adopted then and his last name changed as their names were Sydney Johnson Adams and Mary Addison. Have not found a birth record so trying to find birth info by possibly looking in adoption records. I know Sydney Johnson's family hailed from PE area and thought I'd ask in this forum in case someone had some little nugget of info tucked away somewhere. Would love any info anyone can help with. 2. Coleen Coleman
    3. I am looking for a will/probate and a possible legal guardianship of said persons' children: had son St Clair, daughters Catheryn/Catherine married Kenner Fowlkes and (2) two other daughters. Doing a Rootsweb World Connect search found (2) two William Baldwins' born 1750 & 1758 one married to a Miss Baker the other (?) no marriage listed, both died in 1819 PE Co VA. Would like to know if this is the father of the children and if it lists his wife as being a widow probably not as the 2 younger daughters were taken to KY from VA/NC where Kenner and Catheryn (Baldwin) Fowlkes were married. Have went to RAOGK for a vounteer and no one listed also posted to Genealogy Look Up Forum and [email protected] with nothing in return so far.

This will confirm the surname you are searching. If the test doesn't match the surname you thought, the testing will give a match of all surnames that do match the tester's DNA. For example, the testor can test under the surname Grady and the test might tell him he matches a Clay. DNA tests does help in this respect. If the Grady surname turns out to be correct, then the testor will be given of all others who are an exact match with him. He can then choose a comparison to tell him the probility of percentage of the generations that the two had a Most Recent Common Ancestor in 4 - up to 20 generations in the past. These test does not give the ancestor's name, but using your paper trail either confirms or denies your hard work. Plus, it saves lots of time searching down blind alleys. Hope this helps.
