Was he from PE County? Sorry, I live in Northern VA and do not have any access to the PE Courthouse. I am researching the Henry P. Davis family. Henry's brother William Spencer Davis married Martha White Venable in 1808. I only know of one son Robert Venable Davis who was born c. 1813 and died I believe in the 1890's.

See Frederic Kontak b, September 10, 1837 on Ancestry.com for more complete information. One went to CT. if I am not mistaken.

But, I will give you information anyways incase there is some connection. My Great Great Great Grandfather, Peter Kontak brought his Wife Anna (Maiden: Kirra) and children, Frank (my great grandfather), Stephen, John, Paul, Pauline, and Lena? to the states, (ellis island i believe) from West Prussia, Germany. Frank was born April 10,1884 and died July 29th, 1934. After the family came to the states and got their farm going, Peter Kontak, the father, took off never to be seen again. We have nothing on him after that. We also don't have any information on the Kontak family before they moved here, or any other family members. Frank also had children, their names were Helen Kontak, Opal Kontak, Lois kontak, Anna Kontak (died at age 2), and Florence Kontak. I don't know if any of the others had children, I am sure they did, I just don't have any info on them. If by chance you have any informat! ion, I would be greatful. Thank You, Shawn Ann Wendling
