I think I am in shock that the information I sent was incorrect. It was not the author of THIS FAMILY ROBINSON that was mistaken, it was my connection to his work. Please help me make the right connection. The marriage bond for Elizabeth Robinson and Anthony P. Lipford was issued on July 25, 1781 in Cumberland County, Virginia. Surety was Creed Haskins. Cumberland County Marriages 1749-1840 by Katherine B. Elliott Sons Daniel, Amos, Fielding On August 15, 1825 William Robinson signed a court document acknowledging that he had a full and final settlement with Anthony P. Lipford on the estate left to him by his grandfather William Robinson. William received payment for the profits of his estate committed to Anthony, and took charge of his own property. Signed: William ROBERTSON Teste: Will Tunstall, Clerk of Court, Pittsylvania County, VA Will of William Robertson, written 19 July 1820 Pittsylvania County D & W Book 11, page 539 names grandson Christopher Organ daughter Dicey Organ Elizabeth Bottom son Christopher's children: WILLIAM, Joseph, Ennis, Peter, Henry, Polly son Henry's children: Polly and Henry 1920 census, Pittsylvania County, VA: William Robertson, 1 male 45 and up and living next door, Anthony P. Lipford My connect to the line seems to me to be that Elizabeth Robinson was the daughter of Field Robinson, Sr. and Obedience Bradshaw of Cumberland County. She named a son Fielding. She named a son Daniel, and a Daniel was the son of Field Robinson, Sr. Elizabeth and Daniel had a brother William Robertson who wrote the will. Field Robinson, Sr. was the son of John Robinson, Sr. and Tabitha Jones of Cumberland County. What do you think? Where did I go wrong? Beverly
