Surnames: Depriest, Dupriest Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3AC.2ACE/1463 Message Board Post: In March 1768, the church in Pittsylvania Co., VA, ordered that the children of William Depriest, dec'd, be bound out. However, there is no indication subsequent to that entry of where the children were placed. Does anyone have access to court records from that time that might shed light on this? The mother (Tabitha Toney Depriest) was still living eventually ending up in Henry Co., VA, until ca 1790. Would like to know if the family was split up (five children: Randolph, William, John, James, Elizabeth) or were they allowed to stay with their mother?
