Still trying to find family of John ADAMS ca 1802 VA, lived in TN, KY, and Southern IL, died ca 1859 probably White Co.,IL. Most of the children moved to Jackson and Williamson Co.s, IL. I'm wondering if he is son of John and Elizabeth BURTON ADAMS of Pittsylvania Co., Logan Co.,KY and Marion Co.,IL? John 1802 VA left home for a few years to do whatever young men do, returned, and the family had moved on. family oral tradition says he never found them again. Looking at his travels, I'm wondering if he was following after them re: hearsay?
