Hey ,I found out a little info on The creek and it,s existence. In the record books it mentions Frying pan creek as being around back in the early to mid 1700s,I believe that would mean it would have been there a lot longer .I was wondering what Indian tribe were around in the 1700's and any other historical info on this area .I live on the creek itself. From looking at an old map from the 1800's it looks like the creeks feed is from the pigg river.Does anybody know the ownership of this area from 1900's back to when the Bennett's and Bobbitt's,form land deeds looks like Bobbitt owned it first, then willed it to his sons and daughters I believe one of the girls may have been married to a Bennett,Not sure if the spelling of the last names is correct. well Bye 4 now.
